Indications
The DFPP treatment is recommended for people with:
- lipid disorders (familial hypercholesterolemia, resistant hypertriglyceridemia),
- immunological infertility, complications after IVF, recurrent miscarriages,
- chronic or difficult-to-treat autoimmune diseases (e.g. MS, RA, SLE, Hashimoto's disease, psoriasis, neurodermatitis, scleroderma, Sjögren's syndrome),

- kidney and liver diseases, hematological diseases (e.g. Waldenström's macroglobulinemia, chronic hemolysis),
- heart and vascular diseases (e.g. atherosclerosis, post-infarction syndromes, autoimmune cardiomyopathies),
- chronic skin diseases (eczema, urticaria, pemphigoid, porphyria, psoriasis),
- diabetes, metabolic complications, insulin resistance,
- symptoms of heavy metal poisoning or the need for deep detoxification of the body,
When NOT to perform DFPP
Contraindications
DFPP is not reccomended in cases of:
- unstable heart, respiratory or renal failure,
- acute bacterial infection,
- blood clotting disorders uncontrolled by treatment,
- active cancer (in most cases),
- very low body weight or very poor access to veins,
- children (individual assessment required)
The assessment process:
The doctor conducts a detailed interview, analyzes the patient’s medical history, current symptoms, and previous treatment as well as assesses any contraindications.
The following up-to-date test results are required before the procedure:
- morphology,
- APTT, PT, INR,
- WR, HBs , HCV, HIV,
- other tests depending on health status.
The physician analyzes test results and the patient’s overall health, selects the appropriate set of filters, and determines the number of sessions. In some cases, collaboration with other specialists is necessary.
